TUBMANBURG, October 1(LINA) –An assessment mission has arrived in Bomi County to conduct a study that will lead to the construction of an Ebola Treatment Unit (ETU) in the county, an official has disclosed.
The Coordinator of the Bomi County Ebola Task Force, Superintendent Samuel Brown, told a news conference Monday that construction of the Unit will start immediately based on the conclusion of the assessment.
Meanwhile, Superintendent Brown has disclosed that the Ministry of Internal Affairs has provided US$9,000 to the Bomi County Ebola Task Force to conduct of district meetings and the burial of Ebola victims.
He also said that the CTF has set up four committees to enhance the fight against the Ebola disease in the county.
He named the committees as the Case Management, Information Management, Social Mobilization and Care and Support or Psycho-social Committees.
Superintendent Brown said the committees will work along with the CTF and the County Health Team (CHT) to conduct research on the nature of Ebola cases in the county and make recommendations to the CHT and the CTF for appropriate action.
