Harper, October 5 (LINA) - Maryland County Reunion Organization in Harper City has donated a consignment of anti-Ebola materials to the County Ebola Task Force to buttress its fight against the disease.

Items donated included 120 buckets, 120 faucets and 120 bottles of chlorine, according to the Liberia News Agency.

Presenting the items, the Focal Person of the organization, T-Max Urey, said the donation was his organization’s way of helping the county Ebola task force combat the spread of the Ebola disease.

Receiving the consignment, acting Superintendent Nathaniel Toe lauded the Maryland County Reunion Organization for the donation and said the battle against the Ebola virus cannot be achieved by certain individuals alone, but the collective efforts of all Marylanders.

Superintendent Toe noted that the Ebola fight should not be the work of government officials alone, adding “every Liberian should get involved to ensure that the virus is eradicated from Liberia.”

The consignment was later turned over to the County Health Officer, Dr. Odell Kugmeh, who expressed gratitude for the gesture and promised that the items will be used for the intended purpose.
