MONROVIA, October 3 (LINA) –President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has observed that Liberians need to continue to seek the divine intervention of God in the ongoing fight against the Ebola disease.

“We can get all of the medications, build all the Ebola treatment centers, and mobilize all of the financial and human resources, but if we do not seek God’s intervention in this, Liberia will not succeed in the fight against the disease,” she said.

The Liberian leader made the observation at the end of a one-day Fast and Prayer Service held in the conference room of the Ministry of Gender and Development in Monrovia on Friday.

She pointed out that praying and fasting are the best solutions in the fight against the virus that has claimed the lives of hundreds of Liberians and foreign nationals.

She emphasized: “Until we take the fight against the Ebola disease to the Lord in prayer, Liberia will not succeed in his national scourge.”

President Sirleaf, however, expressed confidence that “God is in complete control of this Ebola situation.”
