HARPER, October 18 (LINA) - Maryland County has instituted measures to ensure that the Ebola virus does not spread to the county from neighboring Grand Kru and River Gee counties.

According to Acting Superintendent Henry Cole, all travelers entering the county from the two counties are subjected to temperature tests and other medical examination.

Superintendent Cole told the Liberia News Agency recently in Harper that the County will not allow commuters who have no business in Maryland to pass through the check points.

He said while it is true that people have their right to freedom of movement under the Constitution, the movement of people from one place to another during this period of the Ebola outbreak will not be condoned.

Meanwhile, Superintendent Cole, who is also County Inspector, has admonished citizens of Maryland County to make use of the prevailing situation in the country to grow food to feed themselves.
