GBARNGA, October 19 (LINA) - The Ministry of Information, Cultural Affairs and Tourism (MICAT) has donated several anti-Ebola materials to media institutions in Gbarnga, Bong County.

Materials donated to the local office of the Liberia News Agency (LINA), Radio Gbarnga and Super Bongese Radio include 1,000 pieces of Ebola message flyers, three pieces of hand washing buckets and three containers of bleach.

Presenting the items Saturday, Assistant Information Minister for Administration, Patrick Worzie, said the donation was the ministry’s way of helping media institutions operating in rural parts fight the Ebola disease.

He noted that similar donations will be made in Nimba and Lofa counties.

Receiving the materials on behalf of the two community radio stations, LINA Bong County Correspondent Ballah M. Kollie lauded the ministry for the donation describing it as “a giant step” in the eradication of the virus.

He assured that the media houses will ensure proper use of the materials as the Ebola fight requires the participation of everyone.
