ROBERTSPORT, Nov 1 (LINA)-One hundred and sixty-six persons in Grand Cape Mount County have ended the 21 days Ebola observation period in keeping with the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare regulations.

The Liberia News Agency reports that this was contained in the County Surveillance Officer’s (CSO) report submitted to the Chairman of the Grand Cape Mount County Ebola Task Force, Imam Mohammed A. Paasewe, during a meeting held in Sinje, Garwula District.

The CSO report on Wednesday further indicated that the 166 persons came from the five districts of the county: Tewor, Garwula, Gola Konneh, Commonwealth and Porkpa.

The report which covered the period October 22-28, 2014 said 187 citizens were under quarantine in the various districts for allegedly coming in contact with some Ebola suspects and that eleven of these patients died, while 10 results are pending.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Task Force, Superintendent Paasewe, is appealing to citizens to observe the preventive measures outlined by the ministry of health to prevent the spread of the virus in the county.
