VOINJAMA, November 7 (LINA) - The Action Global Communities (AGC) has conducted a three-day Ebola awareness workshop with over 85 participants from towns and villages in Voinjama District, Lofa County.

Speaking in an interview with the Liberia News Agency at the close of the workshop Thursday in Voinjama, AGC Lofa County chapter head, Andrew Darkpana, said the workshop focused on Ebola prevention and sensitization against denial.

Darkpana pointed out that the workshop was held simultaneously in Voinjama, Salayea, Zorzor, Quadou Gboni, Kolahun, Foya and Vahun Districts.

He explained that town chiefs, women, youth and religious leaders, town criers, community health and sanitation workers from the seven districts participated in the countywide workshops.

Darkpana also said participants watched videos of the outbreak of Ebola in some Ebola-affected countries, including Zaire, after which they designed a plan of action on ways to tackle the virus.
