KAKATA, November 9 (LINA) - Multi-Services Liberia (MSL), a non-governmental organization in Monrovia, has presented a consignment of assorted food and non-food items to Margibi County as aid to the fight the Ebola virus.

The items are 1,000 bags of 25kg rice, 600 gallons of cooking oil, 1,500 cartons of powder soap, 2,000 cartons of Clorox and 2,000 hand-washing buckets, according to the Liberia News Agency (LINA).

Making the presentation at the Kakata City Hall recently, MSL Chief Executive Officer Momolu Vannie said the donation was funded by the Swedish Educational Funds for Liberia (SEFL).

SEFL is an NGO that has been providing educational assistance to institutions in Montserrado, Margibi and Grand Bassa counties, with MSL serving as implementing partner.

Vannie said other counties, including Grand Bassa and Lofa, have already benefited from similar donations from SEFL.

Receiving the items, Margibi County Superintendent John Zubah Buway thanked SEFL for the “timely” donation.

He noted that it was vital to donate food to help sustain the people as the Ebola pandemic has caused socio-economic gaps in the society.
