Women Group Donates To Quarantined Citizens

ROBERTSPORT, November 11 (LINA) -Tewor Women for Peace and Development (TWPD) in Tewor District, Grand Cape Mount County has distributed assorted relief items to quarantined people in Jenewonde and Balaja Towns in the district.

The Chairlady of the organization, Satta Balo, made the disclosure Monday at an Ebola Taskforce meeting held in Garwula District, Grand Cape Mount County.

Balo who made the donation in the two towns over the weekend named the items as eight bags of rice, five bags of sugar, five tins of Ovaltine, five bags of salt, one bag of onion and three cartons of
bath soap.

Other items donated were, four dozen plates, four dozen spoons, four dozen cups, 12 bath buckets, three cartons of laundry soap, eight gallons of palm oil and four cartons of fish, among others.

She called on beneficiaries to respect the quarantine regulations introduced by the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare to curtail the further spread of the virus.

The head of the quarantined citizens expressed gratitude to the women organization for the gesture and urged others to emulate their example.

The people were quarantine for coming in contact with confirmed Ebola patients.
