MONROVIA, November 11 (LINA) - The Presiding Judge of Criminal Court “A” at the Temple of Justice, Judge Boima Konto, has admonished Liberians to desist from complacency and ignoring the preventive measures against the Ebola virus because of the reduction in new cases.

“Instead, they should remain vigilant in the fight against the disease by adhering to the full measures put in place by officials of the Health Ministry,” he said.

Judge Konto made the call Monday when he presided over the joint formal opening of the First Circuit Criminal Assizes “A”, “B”,”C”, and ”D” for the November 2014 term of court.

Judge Konto reminded his audience that the Ebola virus has had adverse consequences on every facet of Liberian society including the legal sector, adding, “Liberians should increase their efforts in the fight against this deadly disease.”

In remarks on behalf of the Ministry of Justice, Montserrado County Attorney Daku Mulbah, reiterated calls for Liberians to remain resolute in the fight against the Ebola epidemic in the country.

He noted that the court system welcomes news about the reduction in Ebola cases in Liberia, but stressed the need for Liberians to continue to abide by all preventive measures outlined by health authorities to ensure that it is completely eradicated.
