MONROVIA November 20 (LINA) - The Monrovia Consolidated School System (MCSS) will equip all its campuses with Ebola preventive materials for students to apply directives of health authorities, the Superintendent of MCSS, Adolphus Jacobs, has disclosed.

He noted that the schools will have facilities to wash hands and thermometers to take the temperature of students before entering classes.

Speaking during the Ministry of Information daily Ebola press briefing at the ministry Wednesday, Jacobs said these are part of measures being instituted to provide a safe learning environment at MCSS schools when government announces the reopening of schools.

According to Jacobs, plans are being worked out to secure vehicles to transport students or teachers in case of illness or other health emergencies.

He noted that guidance counselors will be deployed to help students with the learning process and to monitor their activities as they apply the various preventive measures.

“Currently, as we speak, minor repairs are ongoing on our school campuses, renovation assessments are being done by the General Services Agency (GSA) and Ministry of Education,” Jacobs said.
