MONROVIA, November 27(LINA) –Former Information Minister Emmanuel Bowier says election is not an event but a process.

“It is in the supreme interest of Liberia to vote in peace because when this election is over we as citizens will still remain here as one in our glorious land of liberty,” Bowier also said.

Speaking at the Ministry of Information daily Ebola press conference on Thursday in the ministry’s conference room, Bowier also urged Liberian youths not to allow themselves to be used by politicians to accomplish their selfish political agenda.

Speaking earlier, Information Minister Lewis Brown appealed to campaigners to be careful how they go about campaigning to avoid threatening the peace in the country.

“Liberians should not abuse this opportunity because it was with great faith in you that President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf decided to proceed with the election,” Brown stressed.

He said each time citizens conduct the business of democracy they should take one step in moving the country forward and keep it safe, especially during this period of health crisis.
