GANTA, December 1 (LINA) - Nimba County Senator Prince Johnson has said given the work he has done in Nimba that brought him immense popularity in the county, he remains an invincible candidate in the senatorial race.

He said gains made in service to his people, coupled with the support of President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf and the Unity Party (UP), victory in the Nmba senatorial race was a foregone conclusion.

Making the statement at the launch of his campaign in Ganta over the weekend, Senator Johnson told his supporters that the decision of the ruling UP to support him is based on sound political decisions taken by him over the years.

He thanked President Sirleaf and the UP for their support toward his 2014 mid-term senatorial election bid.

It can be recalled that during the 2011 Presidential run-off elections between the UP and the Congress for Democratic Change, Senator Johnson of the then National Union for Democratic Progress (NUDP) pledged his support to President Sirleaf after clenching the third place in the first round.
