MONROVIA, November 25 (LINA) - Lofa County Senatorial candidate Gladys Beyan has pledged to forge “positive change” that will lead to rapid growth and development in the county.

She said if elected, she will also advocate for the empowerment of youths and women of Lofa County to enable them contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of the county.

Independent aspirant Beyan observed that when the capacity of citizens is built it will empower them to join efforts to transform their county.

Speaking in an interview with the Liberia News Agency in Monrovia Tuesday, Beyan boasted that out of the nine candidates in the Lofa County Senatorial race she is the only female contender which, she claims, puts her in a comfortable position to win.

According Beyan, citizens of Lofa County have demonstrated to Liberians and the world that they are ready to make a positive change in their county by pitting only one female candidate for the senate.
