Man, 20, Arrested, Three Others Wanted For ‘Armed Robbery’

MONROVIA, November 27 (LINA) - Police in Monrovia have arrested a 20-year- old man and declared wanted three others for alleged criminal conspiracy and robbery involving  four persons in Paynesville outside Monrovia.

Prince Dennis was arrested on November 20, while Charles Johnson, Aaron Clarke and Tony Parker are still at large, according to a Police charge sheet obtained by the Liberia News Agency.

Dennis was charged after preliminary investigation, while his three accomplices were charged in absentia for alleged armed robbery on November 17, 2014,  in Paynesille. Those robbed include Wolapaye  who reportedly lost four cell phones valued at USD$450, five bags of rice valued at LD$7,500, while Yormie lost a Toshiba Laptop Computer valued at US$500, L$6,000.00 cash, and Koiyan US$2,000 and L$6,000 in cash during the robbery.

In their complaints, the four alleged that the accused used deadly weapons such as single barrel guns, pistols, knives and cutlasses to rob them.

During police preliminary investigation, Dennis admitted committing the crime, saying he and his colleagues were deceived by the devil and prayed for forgiveness.
