GBARNGA, November 11 (LINA) – Police in Bong County have arrested and sent to court two persons for smuggling and the illegal possession firearms and ammunition.

Police charge sheet dated November 11 states that suspects Peter Kollie, 39, and A. Wonkainee Gussin, 42, were Tuesday morning forwarded to the Gbarnga Magisterial Court for prosecution.

Suspects Kollie and Gussin were arrested by joint security at the Salala Checkpoint in Bong County on Sunday, November 9.
They were allegedly trying to smuggle 230 packs or 5,750 pieces of single barrel rounds and two single barrel guns into Monrovia from Ganta, Nimba County where they claimed to have acquired them for commercial purposes.
