MONROVIA, November 28 (LINA) -The Ministry of Finance and Development Planning (MFDP) has forwarded seventy-three sets of financial reports providing an update on the nation’s economy, fiscal situation and donor funds to fight the Ebola virus.

The report contains the Fiscal Outturn Report for Quarter One of Fiscal Year 2014/2015; the Consolidated Financial Statements for Quarter One of FY2014/2015 and the report on the Government of Liberia and Donors’contributions in response to the Ebola crisis.

In a communication dated November 26, 2014, and read in Session on Thursday, Finance and Development Planning Minister Amara Konneh challenged the Chief Clerk of the House of Representatives, Mildred Sayon, to ensure that lawmakers receive their respective copies of the report.

Legislative reporters were not told the specifics of the report because Sayon said there were no spare copies to share with them.

At the same time, the General Auditing Commission (GAC) has submitted to the Lower House the Final Audit Reports of Auditor General Yusador Gaye on the Development and Social Development Funds of five counties.

The reports covered Fiscal Years 2011/2012 and 2012/2013, and the counties are River Gee, Gbarpolu, Bomi, Sinoe and Grand Cape Mount, according to the Liberia News Agency.

Members of the Lower House said they will comment on the two reports after they shall have perused them.
