Senator Howard Taylor Heads Female Lawmakers

Bong County Senator, Jewel Howard Taylor has been elected as chairperson of the Women Legislative Caucus of Liberia (WLCL).



Madam Taylor and other official elect are expected to be inducted into office tomorrow February 19, 2015 after they were recently elected by their colleagues to manage the start of affairs of that organization for the period of two years.

Those expected to be inducted Wednesday along with the Bong County lawmaker are Garaldine Doe-Sheriff of Montserrado County as Vice Chair, Nyongblee Karngar-Lawrence of Grand Bassa County as vice chair for national affairs.

Other female lawmakers include Representatives Mariamu Fofana of Lofa County as Secretary General, Gertrude Lamin as treasure while the youthful Representative Munah Pelham-Youngblood was elected as financial secretary of the organization. Representatives Josephine George-Francis and Mary Karwor would also be inducted as advisor and chaplain general.

President Sirleaf Ellen Johnson is expected to grace the occasion.
