DEA Arrests Man With Cocaine In Milk Candy In Foya

VOINJAMA, November 21 (LINA) -The Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Lofa County detachment has arrested a 34-year-old man with 220 pieces of cocaine concealed in milk candy in Foya, Lofa County.

Making the disclosure in Voinjama recently, DEA Lofa County detachment Commander George Ponny put the value of the drugs at L$11,000.

According to the Liberia News Agency, Commander Ponny said Saah George, a resident of Power Quarter in Foya City, was arrested following a tip-off by some residents of the area.

The DEA official said this is the first of such arrest in the county, and commended the residents for their involvement in the fight against drug trafficking in the area.

Meanwhile, George has been charged with illegal possession of drugs and sent to the Foya Magisterial Court for prosecution.
