VOINJAMA, November 24 (LINA) - Lofa County Police Commander J. Tito Lolin has warned those planning to disturb campaign activities in the December 16 Special Senatorial Election that they will ‘face the full weight of the law.’
Lolin’s warning comes as campaigning for the election in which nine candidates are contesting in Lofa County gains momentum.
He urged campaigners for political parties and independent candidates to comport themselves maturely and desist from acts that have the propensity to undermine the peace and tranquility during the electoral process.
He called on political parties to avoid breaking campaign rules and regulations to prevent conflict and disruption of campaign activities in the county.
Lolin assured contestants of the LNP’s full protection, and urged them to prevail on their campaigners to avoid campaign violence.
He disclosed that officers of the LNP will be deployed at all polling centers across Lofa County to provide maximum protection for all citizens during the voting process on December 16.
