MONROVIA, November 25 (LINA) -The Pastor of the New Life Christian Ministry in the Monrovia suburb of Barnersville, Nathan Mahteh, has urged Liberians to “just say thank you Jesus” for protecting them from the deadly Ebola virus.

“This will be pleasing to God as it is written in the Bible to give thanks in everything,” Mahteh noted in his sermon during the church’s regular worship service on Sunday.

He recalled that the Ebola pandemic has claimed the lives of hundreds of Liberians since early March and admonished those who are alive today to be grateful to God.

Mahteh observed that during the height of the epidemic many Liberians converged in their places of worship praying to God to spare their lives from the Ebola virus, promising to serve Him.

He regretted that while God has spared their lives and with the gradual decline in Ebola deaths, people are not living by the promise they made to give thanks to God.

“We as Liberians must be grateful to God for the things that He does for us,” Mahteh noted and added: “You must be like that one leper who came back to say thank you Jesus.”
