TUBMANBURG, December 23 (LINA)-The Superintendent of the United Pentecostal Church of Liberia (UPCL), Dr. Stephen T.Y. Benda, on Monday hosted a Christmas party for the children of Tubmanburg in Bomi County to share with them the joy, love, peace and happiness of the festive season.

The purpose of the children party dubbed the ‘Superintendent's Children Christmas Party’, was also intended to make children outside of Monrovia happy during the Christmas Season.

Elder Benda said for the past three years they have been hosting Christmas parties for children in Monrovia and that it was time the gesture was extended to those in other parts of the country, especially children in Bomi County.

He said the children Christmas Party is an ideal occasion for the children to eat, play and enjoy themselves.

In remarks at the occasion, Bomi Land Commissioner Abraham B.S. Jones, said children are the future leaders of the nation from among whom are pastors, ministers of the Gospel and Presidents.

He added that children are the most important people of any nation, adding, "it is good that you have come to honor them today”.

Jones who represented Bomi County Superintendent Samuel Brown at the progran, said it is necessary to always remember children on festive occasions, especially during the time of Christmas because the Lord Jesus Christ loves little children. Over 200 children from across Bomi County took part in the party.
