The Ministry of Justice on Thursday placed five pretrial detainees on probation for less criminal defenses as provided law.


Criminal Court ‘C’ Judge Peter Gbeneweleh warmed each of the five defendants not to commit any criminal offenses   during their probation period.
He instructed the defendants to report to at the probation department at the Ministry of Justice on a daily basis.
They were also ordered to volunteer 144 hours within their communities.
The defendants in a brief chat informed reporters that they would live by the terms and condition of probation period by being peaceful under the law.
Defendants qualified for probation are those who commit crimes ranging from theft of property and disorder conduct to aggravated result and criminal mischief.
