According to the Liberia News Agency, the President of Cuttington University in Suacoco, Bong County, Henrique Flomo Tokpa, donated LD$20,000 and pledged on behalf of the university US$500.00, while the President of BCCC, John Flomo, pledged LD$1,000,000 on behalf of himself and LD$800,000 on behalf of the Board of Trustees of the college.

Speaking during the fundraising rally held at the Gboveh High School, Tokpa warned his colleagues against allowing politicians to infiltrate the education sector.

He said allowing falsehoods that he is fighting against the completion of the Bong County Technical College and other statements attributed to him, are politically motivated, adding, “they must not be allowed to take seat in our sector or it will create serious gap in our system.”

“What we anticipate is growth and cordiality in the relationship between the BCTC and CU,” he emphasized.

In remarks, Flomo thanked Tokpa for the advice and donation, and pledged to ensure that his institution remains free of political manipulation.
