The Special Representative of UN Secretary General to Liberia, Madam Karin Landgren Tuesday signed the book of condolence for the late Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Liberia, His Honor Johnnie N. Lewis.

The UN envoy showed-up at the Temple of Justice Tuesday to convey the deep condolences of the United Nations family in Liberia for the loss of the great statesman.
 
President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Monday led an array of government officials to sign the book of condolence and sympathize with the bereaved family.
 
 Also on Monday Vice President Joseph N. Boakai, members of the Senate, Speaker Alex Tyler and Members of the House of Representatives, Chief Justice Francis Korkpor , Associate Justices of the Supreme Court of Liberia, members of the Liberia Bar Association and former heads of state and former vice heads of state of the Republic of Liberia performed the rite.
 
The former Chief Justice, one of Liberia's best legal minds, died on 21 January, 2015 at the John F. Kennedy Medical Hospital in Monrovia. He was 69.
