MONROVIA, October 14 (LINA) - President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has provided some food items and cash to the family of Titus Nauaha upon being discharged from the SOS Clinic in Congo Town.
Presenting the items on behalf of President Sirleaf on Monday at the West Point Town Hall, , Monrovia City Mayor Clara Doe Mvogo urged Titus’ parents to abide by the regulations of the clinic.
Mayor Mvogo said the food items and money were the President’s way of identifying with the family after the West Point incident where their son was shot during the quarantine exercise of the township.
According to Titus, he needs advance medical checkup abroad to determine his fitness and appealed to government to help him get treated, adding that he is still feeling pain after the bullet has been removed from his stomach.
He also said that he has been warned not to do any hard work and eat any solid food which, he believes, might be harmful to his future and reiterated his request to government to help secure his future.
Titus Nauaha was one of two boys shot in West Point, but the bullet did not penetrate his stomach and he was taken to the SDA Cooper Clinic and later the SOS Clinic for treatment.
