MONROVIA, October 22 (LINA) -Police has detained a 30-year old man, Jefferson Bracewell, at the Monrovia Central Prison pending court trial for alleged armed robbery and criminal conspiracy.

The police charge sheet Tuesday said Bracewell’s alleged action is in violation of the Revised Criminal Code.

The police said the charge was based upon a complaint filed against defendant Bracewell and three others still at large by victim Alexander Dunbar, alleging that the accused broke into his home in New Georgia Estate on October14 armed with cutlasses and other deadly weapons and threatened to kill him.

They allegedly made away with one flat screen television valued at US$350, a DSTV Decoder costing US$115, two PCS laptops worth over US$1,000, a disc player worth US$80 as well as a car key and laptop charger.

During preliminary investigation, defendant Bracewell voluntarily admitted to the crime, while those still at large were charged in-absentia.
