ROBERTSPORT, November 14 (LINA) -The Ministry of Agriculture (MOA) Office in Grand Cape Mount County has finalized plans to cultivate 144 acres of farmland in Garwula District, Grand Cape Mount County, for food production.

MOA Coordinator Edmund Greaves told the Liberia News Agency Thursday that priority will be given to the cultivation of rice, corn and vegetables after clearing the farm.

He noted that the Ministry, in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), will provide the seedlings and other inputs.

Greaves explained that the farm is intended to encourage rural farmers to produce more marketable foods.
