MONROVIA, December 18 (LINA) - The Presiding Judge of Criminal Court “A” at the Temple of Justice in Monrovia, Judge Boima Konton, has sentenced Carious Bracewell to life in prison at the Monrovia Central Prison.

Bracewell was found guilty by a six-member empanelled jury on November 19, 2014 for murdering Benedict Workpa of Arthington in Montserrado County early last year.

The Liberia News Agency reports that Bracewell maintained his innocence throughout  the month-long trial in which both prosecution and defense witnesses testified and adduced evidences in court.

Giving his final ruling at the Criminal Court “A” Thursday, Judge Konton noted that Bracewell will either spend the rest of his life behind bars or face death by hanging.

He then ordered the clerk of court to prepare Bracewell’s commitment to serve his life sentence at the Monrovia Central Prison.
