MONROVIA, December 23 (LINA)- Former Education Minister Etmonia D. Tarpeh has assured the enforcement of the Code of Conduct for teachers and school administrators in Liberia.

Minister Tarpeh pointed out that the Code of Conduct will not be enforced for just seven days and placed on the shelf like other policies of government which are yet to be enforced.

The Education Minister who is now the Chair of the National investment Commission gave the assurance Monday during the official launch of the Code of Conduct for teachers and school administrators held at the central office of the ministry on Third Street in Sinkor, Monrovia.

Tarpeh explained that the Code of Conduct will serve as a guard to teachers and school administrators as well as parents and guardians to prevent unprofessional conduct in schools.

She indicated that if Liberia’s education system should be improved, it will require the collective efforts of every Liberian and not only the government and stakeholders to strengthen the education sector in the country.

Minister Tarpeh guaranteed that the ministry will ensure that the Code of Conduct is implemented to the letter in schools in the country.
