Officer Sakie reportedly left his home Monday morning to cut sticks, only for his body to be found later by a farmer.
A family source told the Liberia News Agency in Harper Tuesday that after the farmer, whose name was not disclosed, reported the matter to authorities, a group of men was dispatched to the scene.
The cause of his death has not been established, but he is believed to have been bitten by a snake because two fresh wounds were discovered on his foot with blood oozing from them.
Meanwhile, Sakie has been buried.
