Monrovia, August 17, 2015- Vice President Joseph N. Boakai has paid tribute to volunteers and philanthropists in Liberia and underscored  their determination to help, care and heal the wounds others  are experiencing through financial and other assistance, saying the spirit of volunteerism has made Liberia a better society.

Thousands of individuals have benefitted from the Government of Liberia (GoL) run National Social Cash Transfer Program (SCTP) in Bomi and Maryland Counties respectively.

The Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Ms Christine Lagarde has assured President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf that the IMF will continue to support Liberia stabilize and improve its economy.
