KAKATA, August 14 (LINA) - In an effort to decongest prison facilities in Margibi County in the wake of the Ebola outbreak, the office of the County Attorney has released 15 prisoners from further detention. Speaking in an interview with the Liberia News Agency in Kakata recently, Acting County Attorney Isaac Liverpool George said the action followed a meeting with justice actors in the country.

MONROVIA, August 14 (LINA) – The Liberian Senate has concurred with the House of Representatives on the US$20 million emergency funding to combat the deadly Ebola virus in the country. The Senators, however, want County Legislative Caucuses to be represented on the Taskforce that will account for expenditure of the emergency funding.
