ROBERTSPORT, December 10 (LINA)-The Regional Post Master for Western Liberia, Mr. Edwin Zoludua, has disclosed that the Ebola outbreak has negatively impacted postal services in the region.
Zoludua said since the outbreak of the virus, citizens in the Western counties of Grand Cape Mount, Bomi and Gbarpolu are not using postal services.
He made the disclosure in an interview with the Liberia News Agency in Robertsport, Grand Cape Mount County Tuesday.
Zoludua indicated that due to the Ebola outbreak, many postal depots in the three counties have been temporarily closed down, but assured that they will be re-opened soon.
Meanwhile, Zoludua has disclosed that the lack of vehicles and motorbikes to convey mail from one area to another by employees is also posing a serious problem for the mail delivery system in the region.
He also attributed challenges facing the Regional Postal Affairs office to the deplorable condition of postal facilities and lack of office furniture.
