The Land Commission will on Friday launch its Montserrado Land Coordinating Center in the Township of Caldwell outside Monrovia.
According to a release from the Land Commission, the occasion will bring together officials of government, partners and stakeholders in the land sector.
The release named the Chairman of the Governance Commission Dr. Amos Sawyer as keynote Speaker at event.
The center when launch will receive land dispute cases from across the county, resolving them through the traditional Alternative Dispute Resolution method.
According to the release, the ADR method calls for peaceful settlement and resolution of cases arising from land dispute.
"The Alternative Dispute Resolution method was adopted as a result of recommendations from several stakeholders during a nationwide consultation in 2010," The Release added.
The release added, that the ADR methodologies is currently been piloted in Bong, Margibi, Nimba, Lofa and Maryland Counties adding that it is producing successful results.
