HARPER, October 15 (LINA) - Eleven correction officers have arrived in Harper, Maryland County to take up assignment at the Harper Central Prison.

According to the Prison Superintendent Chrispin Doe, the officers were trained for four months by the Justice Ministry and the Bureau of Corrections and Rehabilitation ahead of the posting.

The Prison Superintendent, who was overwhelmed about the assignment of the officers, expressed optimism that with the infusion of more officers, Maryland County will no longer experience jail breaks.

He told reporters Tuesday that the Harper Central Prison currently has 57 inmates.
He commended Government for the training and promised to do his utmost to ensure the proper upkeep of the prison.
