IN DEEPER REVERENCE PRAISE, THANKING THE LORD, AS EBOLA NARROWS ITS PATH

A famous Methodist Hymn begins and ends with these lines:

“Dear Lord and Father of Mankind

Forgive us our Foolish Ways

Reclothe us in our rightful mind

In purer lives thy service Find

In Deeper Reverence Praise."

And so the Lord deserves to be praised, for Ebola, the deadly virus, stormed and ravaged this glorious land, frightening everyone in its path and   devoured hundreds of our compatriots in their ignorance and innocence.

Today , those of  us alive who are witnesses of the disaster caused by this  dangerous epidemic will have the opportunity to raise our hands and voices to the Omnipresent, Omnipotent and the Omniscient,  on  the Day of National Fast and Prayer - and, to bow before him saying , Thank You Lord,  for bringing us together as one people in fighting  this deadly virus  under the command of our illustrious leader, President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf and  to say to all the world that,  indeed, we are  a united people in the fight against this devastating  Ebola Virus Disease.
