MONROVIA, January 1 (LINA)-The Liberian leader is commending the community leaders, Christian and Muslim Community, civil society and especially healthcare workers who have been on the frontline with a passionate endurance to the Ebola fight.

Liberia is experiencing an increase in the number of Ebola cases in Grand Cape Mount County (western Liberia), which health authorities say is “alarming”.  

The Liberian government has opened a cemetery for the burial of victims of Ebola to put an end to cremation, which authorities say will allow people turn over their dead relatives for safe burial to eradicate the disease.

U.S. officials acknowledged disagreements over coordinating the international response to the Ebola epidemic in Liberia, but they say most issues are being worked out and the overall fight against the disease there seems to be succeeding.

MONROVIA, November 13 (LINA) – President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has adjusted the curfew to run from 12 am to 6:00 a. m, accept for people living in the proximity of hotspots. 

The curfew previously ran from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. but was later adjusted to hold from 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

MONROVIA, November 13 (LINA) – President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has announced that the National Legislature has been informed that she will not seek an extension to the State of Emergency following consultation with relevant stakeholders.
