(MONROVIA, LIBERIA – Thursday, July 24, 2014) The Liberian Government has conferred honors on 18 distinguished individuals, one of them posthumously, the World Health Organization-Liberia and all the Health Workers affected by the Ebola virus ravaging the country, thus kick-starting the somber official celebrations of Liberia’s 167th Independence Anniversary, though with a divergence.
This is to inform all Airport Stakeholders (i.e. Employees, Airlines, Vendors, and other Users) that given the recent outbreak of the Ebola virus in the country, the Board of Directors of the Liberia Airport Authority (LAA) is implementing the following safety measures/procedures effective immediately at the various airport facilities within the Republic of Liberia:
[Protocol]...I would like to express my profound thanks and appreciation to Her Excellency, President Ellen Johnson and the 167th Independence Anniversary Celebration Committee for selecting me to bring a message to the nation. I consider my father the late O. Natty B. Davis the orator within the family so I do hope that I do justice to his memory. I am sure that he would be delighted to see one of his children addressing the nation on this important occasion.
