President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf Hails Independence Anniversaries of Malawi & The Comoros

Monrovia, July 4, 2014: President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has sent two separate messages of congratulations to the Governments and Peoples of the Republics of Malawi and The Comoros on the separate occasions marking the 50th and 39th Independence Anniversaries respectively.

To the Malawian President, Peter Mutharika, President Sirleaf extended warmest congratulations to the Government and People of Malawi on behalf of the Government and People of Liberia.

“I wish to assure you of my Government’s determination to continue strengthening the cordial relations subsisting between our two countries as we endeavor to improve the well-being of our respective Peoples and lead them to brighter future”, President Sirleaf remarked.

To the President of The Comoros, Mr. Ahmed Abdallah Mohamed Sambi, the Liberian President wished for the People of the Union of The Comoros happiness, success and a bright and prosperous future as they celebrate their 39th Independence Anniversary.
