BUCHANAN, April 30 (LINA) – An official of the Equatorial Oil Company (EPO) in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County has stressed the need to merge small towns to facilitate “rapid and tangible” development in the county.

EPO Government Liaison and Communication Manager, Weah W. Bestman       made the recommendation during the launch of EPO’s awareness program at the company’s headquarters Monday.

He said when small towns come together to make one big town, such a town is bound to be developed and have key social services for the inhabitants.

Bestman said development is population-driven, noting that “the need for conglomeration of small towns cannot be overstated.”

Meanwhile, he has reiterated the commitment of EPO to providing basic social services to inhabitants in its area of operation.
