15 teachers along with three students of the Monrovia Consolidated School System (MCSS), are currently off to India on international scholarships.

This follows a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) recently signed between MCSS and Global Accute of India to leverage educational opportunities between the two institutions.

Speaking at a farewell program on September 30, 2024, in Monrovia, MCSS Superintendent, James Momo, challenged the scholarship beneficiaries to maximize the opportunity for advanced education.

“While it is true that they have the opportunity today, we expect them to make good use. They must put their feet down and study, come and give back to our country,” the MCSS Superintendent said.

The MCSS Boss said as part of the MOU, more faculty members and students at the Monrovia Consolidated School System are to benefit in the coming years.

Superintendent Momo expressed belief that one of the surest ways to tackle poverty is through quality and affordable education.

Meanwhile, beneficiaries of the scholarship program have lauded the MCSS and government for the opportunities to acquire foreign education.
