Mcglynn toured rehabilitation centers across Montserrado.

Mcglynn emphasized the need for drug training. prevention and recovery efforts across the country.

According to him, there is a comprehensive drug training and drug prevention workshop coming up in a subsequent time for cross sections of African countries, and assured Liberia’s participation.

At the same time, Mcglynn stated that Liberia through the LDEA has made tremendous effort by making the fight against drugs a national concern.

The Advisor stressed that the US as a country will help enhance Liberia’s effort in the fight against drugs by organizing training and supporting law enforcement considering the efforts Liberia has made in the fight against the menace.

For his part, the OIC appreciated the U.S Government for always recognizing Liberia’s effort in the fight against illicit drugs.

He also extolled the General Overseer of the Destiny Recovery Center, Pastor Jerry Swaray for his contribution in the rehabilitation of drug victims.

The LDEA OIC assured Liberians as well as international partners of the Government of Liberia’s commitment to the rehabilitation of people victimized by illicit drugs in Liberia.

The LDEA official encouraged Liberians to join hands in combating the societal ill, citing “if every Liberian can fight the issue of illicit drugs across the country collectively, there is a possibility that the nation will be successful in the fight,”
