KAKATA, June 24 (LINA) – The Executive Director of the IMPACT INSTITUTE, Dr. Rudolph Bropleh has called on Liberians to get involved with initiatives that will positively impact their livelihood.

Dr. Rudolph Bropleh said if every Liberian is to move forward, they must take advantage of every learning opportunity available to foster lasting and positive impacts on their lives.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of a two-day workshop organized by the Impact Institute for small business owners on Monday, June 24, 2024, on the campus of the Cuttington University Junior College in Kakata, Dr. Bropleh indicated that his institution’s effort is aimed at complementing government’s efforts to help train small business owners on how to better manage their businesses.

"We are going to teach them how to fish instead of giving them fish to eat all of the time", Dr. Bropleh explained during his remarks at the opening of the training.

He disclosed that his institution has been engaged in similar impactful training in Monrovia, specifically in New Kru Town, where about 450 small business owners benefited, while another 450 persons received similar small business management training.

Dr. Bropleh also revealed that the training in Margibi County was the first of its kind to be conducted outside of Monrovia, and he expressed his organization’s intention to replicate such a program across the country.

"At the end of the training, participants will be in a better position to manage their small businesses effectively enabling them to impact others in their respective communities”, Dr. Bropleh asserted.

He stressed, "We are going to teach them what productive people can do to become productive in their respective localities that will lead to the betterment of our society.”

At the close of the training, the over 460 participants will be certificated and provided a small start-up package to jump start their businesses.

The IMPACT Institute founded by Dr. Rudolph Borpleh is established to build capacity within organizations and communities including the church, so they are empowered and able to lead.
