Monrovia, Liberia: The Ministry of Public Works (MPW) announces that a major consignment of road construction and maintenance equipment is currently being prepared for shipment to Liberia, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the country’s infrastructure capacity.
The Deputy Minister for Technical Services, Prince D. Tambah, is presently in the People’s Republic of China, accompanied by the Ministry’s Director of Mobile Division, to supervise the loading and final arrangements of the shipment. Loading of the cargo vessel is ongoing and is expected to be completed ahead of its scheduled departure on Thursday, January 15, 2026. The vessel is projected to take 45 to 50 days to arrive at the Free Port of Monrovia.
The first shipment will comprise a significant fleet of heavy-duty and support equipment, including:
- 19 Bulldozers
- 19 Excavators
- 19 Low-bed trailers
- 19 Fuel tankers
- 19 Water tankers
- 19 Service trucks
- 20 Utility pickup trucks
