PPCC Executive Director Hon. Bodger Scott Johnson Commends NAFAA During Engagement Tour Ahead of January Onboarding
As part of ongoing efforts to ensure a smooth and efficient transition of government institutions into the national procurement platform, the Public Procurement and Concessions Commission (PPCC), under the leadership of its Executive Director, visited the National Fisheries and Aquaculture Authority (NAFAA).
The engagement is one of several institutional visits being conducted ahead of the January 2026 onboarding, during which additional Ministries, Agencies, and Commissions (MACs) will be fully uploaded to the public procurement system. The Executive Director congratulated NAFAA for its level of preparedness, noting the Authority’s commitment to compliance, transparency, and improved procurement processes.
During discussions, NAFAA’s leadership reaffirmed their readiness for the transition and highlighted ongoing efforts to strengthen their internal procurement structures. The PPCC team emphasized the importance of documentation, adherence to regulatory requirements, and digital readiness to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
The visit concluded with PPCC assuring NAFAA of continuous support through training, guidance, and monitoring as the institution prepares for its official upload in January 2026
