Dr. Malik Kone,’ Assistant Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Discovery at the William V. S. Tubman University (WVSTU) in Maryland County, has highlighted the transformative impact of Blockchain technology and its application in cryptocurrency.
Dr. Kone’ emphasized the potential for Blockchain to revolutionize the university's financial operations – from processing tuition payments to securing research funding.
The Tubman University official made the emphasis when he led a transformative workshop on Blockchain technology and its application in cryptocurrency on Friday, September 13, 2024.
The workshop was intended to educate attendees on the fundamentals of Blockchain technology, highlighting the rise of cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum, and explore how these innovations can enhance Tubman University.
The event drew a diverse audience of students, faculty, and staff, all eager to learn how Blockchain could improve academic processes, secure financial transactions, and generate new revenue streams through cryptocurrency investments and research initiatives.
Dr. Kone' began the workshop with an overview of Blockchain, describing it as a decentralized digital ledger that records transactions across numerous computers.
