The Assistant Minister for Technical Services at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Orondo F. Armah, is leading a delegation on an inspection tour across Nimba and Lofa Counties to assess the progress of roadside brushing activities. The initiative follows the distribution of roadside brushing tools and materials to local authorities earlier in October this year.
Accompanying the Assistant Minister are Carlton W. Saylee, Compliance Auditor at the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning, and a representative of the National Road Fund. The inspection seeks to verify that the donated materials are being utilized for their intended purpose — ensuring cleaner and safer road corridors in the counties.
The team is engaging local leadership and community actors involved in the exercise to evaluate the level of work completed, identify challenges, and provide recommendations for sustained maintenance of road shoulders.
The Ministry emphasizes that the effort is part of a broader national program to promote accessibility, enhance road safety, and support community participation in infrastructure upkeep.
