The bad blood that was simmering between and among brothers and sisters, uncles and aunts, as well as nieces and cousins, had begun to cool off, and such welcome development had to receive the blessing of the top-most national leader from the District, who is the incumbent President of the Republic.
The occasion witnessed solemn traditional rituals of venting, admission of missteps, apologies, and forgiveness.
The forgiveness and blessings of the Father of the District and the Chief Executive of the Republic, βMassaβ Joseph Nyuma Boakai, had to be sought and graciously obtained. And, glory be to God, it came to pass. This marked the dawn of a new era of cordiality, respect, solidarity, oneness, and concord in the Land.
Towering figures involved, Local Government Minister Francis Sakilah Nyumalin and the Foya Districtβs sitting Representative Thomas P. Fallah, now Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, had no sooner buried the hatched and embraced each other as Big Brother and Small Brother. And the gathering rose to its feet in one loud chorus of Hallelujah, we are ONE BIG FAMILY!
The pictorial here will give you a gist of the high-level historic and traditional rendezvous.
