PPCC and LIBA Host One-Day Awareness and Capacity Building Session on the e-GP System

The Public Procurement and Concessions Commission (PPCC), in partnership with the Liberian Business Association (LIBA), on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, hosted a one-day awareness and capacity building workshop designed to deepen public understanding of Liberia’s Electronic Government Procurement (e-GP) system.

The awareness session targeted business owners and LIBA members, providing them with clear and practical information on the purpose of the e-GP platform, how it functions, and why it is essential for modernizing public procurement. Participants were also guided through the registration process, account creation, and the basic navigation tools required to access procurement opportunities online.

During the workshop, PPCC stressed the importance of increasing nationwide awareness on the shift from traditional manual procurement to a fully digital system. The Commission noted that greater public awareness is critical to ensuring transparency, reducing paperwork, minimizing delays, and expanding access for Liberian-owned businesses. The outreach effort forms part of PPCC’s broader strategy to ensure that local businesses are not only informed but also prepared to take advantage of the new digital procurement environment.

LIBA extended appreciation to PPCC for the awareness initiative and reaffirmed its commitment to helping Liberian businesses understand and utilize the e-GP platform. Participants expressed that the explanations and demonstrations significantly improved their knowledge of the system and boosted their confidence in engaging with digital procurement processes.

As Liberia advances toward full digitalization of public procurement, PPCC and LIBA will continue to hold more awareness and outreach sessions to ensure that businesses across the country are informed, empowered, and ready to participate effectively.
